A 24-track recorder, built in CDRW, 8 inputs, at this price?! Your eyes are not fooling you, it's true! Tascam have once again raised the bar as to what we can expect for our money. Features you find on the Tascam 2488 mkII would never normally have been available at this price point. But then, that's what Tascam love doing. Great products at great prices. The Tascam 2488 mkII is definately worth some serious thought.

The Tascam 2488MKII has all the amazing features as its predecessor the Tascam 2488, but improved with an 80GB hard drive, a faster CD-RW burner, new guitar effects, improved LED display, and a colorful user-friendly unit design. With the Tascam 2488MKII 24-Track Digital Recording Workstation you can record 8-inputs into the XLR and 1/4" inputs simultaneously. 19 physical faders control the mixdown channels, and each channel has 3-band EQ and access to 3 built-in effects processors. A built-in standard MIDI player and General MIDI sound module provide an additional stereo sound source for fuller arrangements. For the final mix, the built-in CD-RW drive can record the 2-track master mixdown in addition to backing up the hard drive and importing and exporting WAV files. A high-speed USB 2.0 jack connects to PC for data backup and SMF/WAV file transfer.
8-inputs can be simultaneously recorded into the XLR and 1/4" inputs onto the Tascam 2488MKII 80GB internal hard disk.The 2488MKII features 8-mic inputs, 4 with phantom power for condenser microphones, and a dedicated Hi-Z instrument level input for connecting an electric guitar or bass. 19-physical faders control the mixdown channels, and each channel has 3-band EQ and access to 3 built-in effects processors. The Tascam 2488MKII has a 36-channel mixer, allowing mixing all 24-tracks plus the 8-inputs. An internal effect send and return loop allows the use of external effects processors like delays, reverbs, or chorus.
