Its unique talkback function makes communication between performers (or between engineer and performers) easy and its extra set of outputs makes chaining multiple Matrix Y units or connection through to a monitoring speaker system easy. The Headphone Amp that Everyone Needs! The CME Matrix Y is the ideal headphone amplifier monitoring system for home, project and professional recording studios, allowing multiple performers to record at the same time - each with their own volume control. It's applications however extend far beyond recording situations. The Matrix Y is also ideal for group rehearsals - if there is no rehearsal room available, the Matrix Y could save you from a disastrous gig by allowing you to rehearse on headphones at home without disruption from your neighbours banging on the wall! The CME Matrix Y also facilitates classroom project situations where multiple groups need to listen and communicate with each other without disrupting other groups in the same room. Four Powerful Outputs The CME Matrix Y features four powerful headphone outputs - each with its own volume control (allowing each listener to set their own level). This avoids having to set a level that all agree on and makes listening more comfortable for all concerned. It will also likely result a better performance in recording situations. Unique Talkback System The CME Matrix Y's unique talkback system with built-in professional talkback mic allows for easy communication between everyone wearing headphones. Simply push the talkback button and everyone can hear each other clearly! Because the Line In signal is automatically attenuated by 20 dB when the talkback mic is switched on, you will still be able to talk if one band member or a backing track is still playing. No more pulling the headphones off after every take or talking too loud because you can't hear each other. CME Matrix Y - Built in Talkback Microphone This simple to use yet powerful feature also makes the CME Matrix Y a must-have in many situations beside recording - for example, enjoying your favourite music together, band rehearsals or group classroom lesson situations. Balanced Line Inputs and Outputs The CME Matrix Y features a balanced stereo line input on 1/4" jacks. This allows a high quality balanced signal to be used as the source whilst retaining a low noise floor. The balanced stereo line output (also on 1/4" jacks) allows the source signal to be sent on to a monitoring speaker system etc. This is an invaluable feature if you only have one main output from your mixer, or don't have a spare one to feed the Matrix Y. Expandable System What do you do if you have more than four people in your band or classroom? No problem because the balanced Line Outputs on one Matrix Y can be connected to the balanced Line Inputs on another making your headphone system expandable in multiples of 4. Built to last The expected CME build-quality applies equally to their Matrix Y Headphone Amplifier. The Matrix Y is compact in size but built into a strong metal case with sturdy controls and sockets.
