CORNFORD HURRICANE

The reason we have designed and built the Hurricane was purely because so many of our Cornford players asked us to.  There seems to be so much interest in 20 watt'ish vintage valve amps that can be really cranked to get that sweet on the edge tone, at club volume levels! We just had to make our own.

The one thing that we have added over those lovely vintage amps is a huge dollop of Cornford dirt (should you want it!), and if you don't want to revel in that creamy filth, its got a tonne of clean head room plus that lovely valve powered reverb.  Like its baby brother, Harlequin, the one that lives in the studio, you can really drive the output stage hard but this time you can gig it.  HAVE FUN!!!   

Spec: 20 watts. Cathode biased 1x12 Combo.
Valves: 2 x EL84 output stage. 4 x 12AX7s pre amp
Cabinet: Solid pine with ply baffle board permanently dadoed into cabinet. 
Dimensions: 600mm x 450mm x 250mm. Covered in custom-made ox-blood vinyl.
Speaker: 12" celestion vintage 30.
Hardware: All corners, screws, cup washers, handle fixings etc. nickel plated.16 gauge welded, powder coated chassis. Leather handle.
Transformers: Custom designed in-house and hand wound.
Construction Methods: Totally hand wired throughout and hand assembled. No PCBsof any sort.
Controls: Hi and lo inputs, gain, reverb, bass, middle, treble and master volume.
Features: Effects loop. Switchable valve powdered reverb (accutronics full length 3-spring tank) 4 and 8 ohm speaker outputs.
Accessories: Reverb foot switch, hand made, 14 gauge, powder coated with 8mm top quality cable with neutrik jack.
