To run the industry standard Pro Tools software, you've always needed a piece of qualifying hardware to let the software run. The choice of available hardware has increased greatly over the last few years, especially with the development of the MBox range and Pro Tools M-Powered, designed to work with qualifying M Audio interfaces. However, you've still had to cart some sort of audio interface around to allow you to use Pro Tools on the move.
The MBox 2 Micro changes all that!
For a start the MBox 2 Micro isn't really a box! A little larger than a standard USB dongle, the Micro gives you Pro Tools LE and features a 3.5mm headphone socket for monitoring. With this pocket sized device, you can edit and mix your Pro Tools sessions anywhere you can use your laptop!

Mbox 2 Micro gives Pro Tools customers the freedom to leave their Pro Tools interfaces behind and edit and mix their sessions in high-quality audio anywhere they travel. With its robust, anodised aluminum design and diminutive size, customers can simply tuck Mbox 2 Micro in any pocket and get ready to welcome the world as their new control room or editing suite. And though it doesn't feature any audio inputs, customers can also easily create loop-based and virtual instrument-driven music with it.
Mbox 2 Micro offers high-quality sound - up to 24-bit/48 kHz audio - and comes with award-winning Pro Tools LE software, Digidesign Xpand! sampleplayback/synthesis workstation, and Bomb Factory and DigiRack plug-ins. (For higher sample rates, customers will need to down-convert sessions using their studio setup prior to using Mbox 2 Micro.)
