Established 1999

MEC was created in 1999 as the specialist education sales team for Andertons Music Co. We recognised that to teachers needed specialist advice and support on Music ICT issues, and that the traditional music retailer was not able to deliver this easily. From day one our aim has been to provide music teachers with a high quality, well informed, specialist education sales team to help schools maximise their music budgets & enable teachers to deliver the highest standards of music education to their pupils.

In just under ten years we have seen schools move from simple MIDI software on a single department computer and noisy 4-tracks to schools with entire suites of machines dedicated for Music Production not to mention professional quality recording studios. The need to expert advice is more essential now than ever.
