Introducing the Zoom Q3 Video Recorder
August 2009
Following from the success of the Zoom H2 and H4n audio recorders, Zoom are releasing the Zoom Q3 Video recorder. This has the same stereo recording capability that is found in the H4n. Any audio that is recorded will be of excellent quality.
Zoom have made the Q3 easy to use, with very little effort required to record and then upload a video to Youtube or your website. Videos and Audio files can be saved to the Q3 for reviewing or editing on a computer.
The video function records up to 640x480 at 30 frames per second. The Q3 will also accept a 32gb memory card (standard SD size), which means you can record roughly 16 hours of video! That's a good few band rehearsals - perfect for adding to youtube. You don't need to do any type of video conversion, just plug the Zoom Q3 into your computer and save the video. You can also use a card reader if you have one.
Audio formats that the Q3 records in are -
- with video, 44.1/48kHz 16/24-bit Linear PCM WAV or MP3 up to 320kbps
- Audio only, 96kHz 16/24-bit Linear PCM WAV
- Auto Record Level automatically adjusts audio levels during recordings
