New Apple iMacs every Two Years?!
October 2009
Chichester College have been leasing their Apple hardware for the last 3 years and has proved to be extremely worth while. It means every 2 years they benefit from a totally new suite of Apple equipment, keeping the music department up to date and gives the students the opportunity to buy the old Apple macs at a hugely discounted price.
MEC delivered, setup and installed 30 Apple iMacs and an X Serve - all running Logic Pro 9, Sibelius, Final Cut Express & Open Office software - we even took the empty boxes away!
The music department runs a fully independent gigabit network hosting individual users, teacher group accounts and independent RAID backup - meaning every student has their own unique account login and are able to log onto any station without the worry of their files getting lost or deleted.
Using the Apple Remote Desktop software, teachers and administrative staff can monitor, take control of the students iMac, update software and even shutdown the entire room from one easy program.
If your considering leasing or need advise into revamping your departments computers, please contact Pete or Rob in the office for a friendly chat.
MEC came out on top with their pricing and service - we're extremely happy with everything that's been done and the department looks amazing.
